1) Introduction to the taxi driver examination

This lesson covers the legal and practical foundations of taxi driving: the Finnish taxi driving licence and renewal, working time realities and key everyday practices. It also includes pricing, the driving log, Kela-reimbursed trips and payment practices.

3) Customer service and interaction situations
Taxi driving is service work. In this lesson we focus on interaction, situational awareness and meeting customers professionally. We also cover challenging situations, such as intoxicated passengers and scenarios where a driver’s responsibilities are especially important.

4) Transporting special groups and accessibility
You’ll learn how to serve passengers with special needs, such as older people, people with memory disorders, children, visually impaired passengers and wheelchair users. The lesson includes safe wheelchair securing, child restraint equipment and the driver’s duty to assist. We also cover special requirements related to school transport.

5) Transport safety and road traffic rules
We focus on traffic safety, anticipatory driving and how to act in unusual situations (accidents, sudden illness and other hazards).. We also cover specific features of taxi operations and the basics of driver safety at work.

Finally, we bring everything together and refine your exam readiness. The tasks help you identify your strengths and focus on any remaining weak spots. You’ll also get practical tips on how to use the task sets effectively in the final days before exam day.
